    Any plans to do a review on Horizon II?

  • @micheleyoungblood

    Why is the account value and total account value decreasing every year instead of increasing before the $120,000 payout in year 6 begins. Why is there no interest being earned on the money and it's actually being decreased in value. It is just sitting there decreasing until year 6 when you're finally removing money and then it just goes down to zero account value in year 8. Im used to seeing annuities earning money in their account value.

    Way cool strategy! If it were a DAF, you couldn't do this sort of a thing, right? You'd get a higher deduction, but couldn't get the money out, as far as I'm understanding.

    Humm.. You are not showing the true impact. Example at the first year of the managed fund you have the $30,789 contribution plus interest of 6% =32,600 less $326 at 1%.. you only have 27,616 working for you in the IUL. The end of the second year $65,500 less $655 = $67,156 in the manage fund compared to only $56,500 in the IUL

    question not clearly answered: if the policy is credited with 6%, what is the net increase in the cash value? Are there no expenses or mortality costs deducted from the 6%?

    48k first year, then 12k/year until 7th and beyond? Lol, this is a joke Whole Life policy. IULs pay out the highest interest to agents, whereas WL, the lowest. Bad policy design.

    There is no surprise here. The FDIC is there to Protect those with deposits against Fraud like someone stealing money. IT IS NOT FOR ECONOMIC DOWN TURN.. THAT IS WHY RESERVES FUNDS ARE LOW.. ALL THIS OTHER IS BULL SHIT AND ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF THEM OVER STEPING THEIR AUTHORITY.

    Way to dig deep.. Not having a down side risk and Tax Free is huge. This is exactly what I did last week..But your example is way more in depth. Yes if you are lucky enough to pick the top 25% in the future, you may beat indexed based with floor. But past performance is not a guarantee for the future. Being honest and up front with your clients is the most important. Those that opt for the floor will be client for life. It is like going to roulette wheel and instead of having Red or Black.. Have a Grey Option that you neither lose or gain. I still need to get a handle on the options for returns in the Index UL itself where the up sides can be more.

  • @dondyer99
    @dondyer99 21 день тому

    I think I know the answer to this… this is not a challenge.. you mentioned always fund the least amount insurance in the contract.. and if you need more insurance buy term insurance outside of the contract.. the questions you raised are valid considerations. But Say they needed the 2,800,000 insurance.. increase the $83,333 contributions buy the amount term insurance they would have paid on the outside. What about illustrating $2,800,000 and reducing death benefit in the contract at age 65.. Based on contributions there will be a floor at that time. This has been a thought provoking valid discussion.

    I’m regretting about buying IUL. I have no cash value and they charge me every month almost 1/2 of my monthly premiums. I cancel my policy cause I did not see any growth. Transamerica is the worst company for insurance.

    Can you explain the benefits of the large death? 1. It's a legacy creating tool. It can be passed on to the next generation tax free. Your payout for living benefits for Critical illness, terminal illness and chronic illness are based on percentages from death benefit. Oh can you show the long term cash value? I would like to see that as well. Because you actually get a return of all your premiums, and you actually accumulate interest ( compound interest) which is actually locked in.

      Increasing death benefit allows less premium to be paid for insurance increasing cash balance.. and at death the owner can spend more cash assets and have the death benefit recover lost capital.

  • @treyw1171
    @treyw1171 26 днів тому

    Wouldn't a IUL policy with a accelerated death benefit rider for critical, chronic, and terminal care meet the need better? If you need long term care, you almost certainly meet two of the conditions for chronic care. Having the money in a IUL should help solve the inflation problem you mention. Policy is also a lot more flexible in terms of being able to take loans/withdrawals if enough value is built up. Also has a life insurance death benefit. Seems like a great all around solution so you aren't locked into using the money on long term care if it turns out not to be needed.

    "F" it...... Invest in both and call it a day. This video has WAY too many variables, not to mention the psychological side of things.... It's easier to pay taxes over the long period of time rather than being burdened with them at retirement. Simple is always better. And these numbers are for a 401k Roth because the Feds say max contribution for IRA's are $7000 for individuals under 50

    Good video. Very informative. I don’t think whether tax rates will go up is the most important decision point. Tax free is better than taxable whether taxes go up in the future or not. Since this is geared toward high income people my assumption is much of the money invested in tax free items won’t be needed for day to day expenses. Therefore there are many tax free choices, including the 3 you mentioned (cash value life, municipal bonds and Roth). I would add an HSA prior to age 65 for contribution and longer for accumulation as well as stocks if you don’t sell them. In fact stocks have the added benefit of being able to harvest losses against capital gains plus $3k of ordinary income each year. Thus I would only suggest cash value LI if you want life insurance. Otherwise you can choose from the other items and save the cost of insurance. I prefer stocks which I hold and where my heirs get a step up in basis or inherit tax free from my Roth. Be careful of HSA though. It’s tax free for you and your spouse but taxable after you both pass away so make sure to eventually empty it out.

  • @keithmachado-pp6fv
    @keithmachado-pp6fv Місяць тому

    Stocks can be tax free if you don’t sell them. In fact, you can defer gains indefinitely, harvest losses while you are alive, and your heirs get a step up in basis so no tax upon death.
